We are looking for an Administration Support Officer to join our team in Development Management Customer Service. The successful person will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.

About the role

  • To be the first point of contact by telephone and email for general planning, heritage and enforcement enquiries.
  • To provide admin support for the Area Planning Teams, Strategic Team, Heritage and Enforcement Teams
  • Inputting, retrieval and maintenance of data via Uniform and the associated Document Management System (DMS)
  • Providing information and advice to external and internal customers including councillors and Parish Councils.

About you

You will need to be accurate and methodical in your approach with an ability to work both on your own and as part of a team. With excellent IT skills you will regularly use a variety of software to input data and research information. Attention to detail is a priority as all planning application forms, plans and documents are published on the Planning Search Facility on our website.

Our ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, pro-active and have a willingness to take ownership of tasks.

This is an ideal platform to develop a career within the planning service. This role could lead to progression in either a technical or an administrative role.
