Are you looking for a fresh start in 2020?  Would you like to gain valuable work experience at the same time as studying for an NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 in Business Administration?

We have the following apprenticeship opportunities in Business administration, which will provide the successful applicants with the relevant skills and experience  to build towards their future career. These opportunities would suit enthusiastic, motivated individuals who are keen to learn and possess the drive and ambition to succeed.

These roles will provide an invaluable insight into working in Business administration within Local Government. Candidates should be confident with good communication and IT skills. You should have a strong commitment to develop your potential by combining practical work experience and study, to achieve an NVQ Level 2 or 3 Business Administration qualification.

Apprentice – Waste Services (Stowmarket)

Working in the Waste team, this role will offer a range of work within Waste Management Services; dealing with household waste, recycling and commercial waste, including detailed administrative tasks, processing and maintaining data and dealing with enquiries from the public.

Apprentice – Environmental Protection (Ipswich)

This role involves supporting the Environmental Protection functions of the Public Protection team. You will gain administrative experience relating to the protection and promotion of a cleaner, safer and attractive environment for the communities of Babergh and Mid Suffolk. This will include data input, record keeping, diary management and liaison with field officers.

Apprentice – Development Management, Planning Enforcement & Heritage (Ipswich)

This position will give you the opportunity to gain general administration experience across three teams. Initially the position will be working in our Planning Customer Services Team, dealing with telephone and email enquiries, data inputting, creating new cases and maintaining our electronic document management filing system.

Apprentice – Economy and Business (Ipswich) 

Working within the Economy and Regeneration teams, you will assist with data and administrations tasks that support business and economic analysis across our districts.  This will include work relating to the town centre vision plan and capital and regeneration projects as well as general activities that support the running of the Economy and Regeneration Service.
