Orwell Housing Association provides homes for over 7,500 residents throughout Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridge.

We are an organisation whose values are at the core of everything we do, and we have an underlying belief that together we make a difference.

2020 is an exciting year for Orwell Housing and sees the implementation of our transformation plan, where we aim to:

  • differentiate
  • modernise
  • innovate
  • deliver.

We have created some new and exciting opportunities to be a part of the Orwell family and to that end are seeking a Tenant Involvement and Sustainment Manager.

As a key member of Orwell's Customer and Communities department, and as well as leading the Tenant Involvement and Sustainment team, you will take responsibility for the leadership, management and organisation of our work with our tenants, ensuring they are at the heart of improving service delivery and maintaining high standards.

You will lead in promoting and transforming our tenant involvement services, working collaboratively with other community-minded organisations; and will be instrumental in launching our Tenancy Sustainment service, using your experience and expertise to create an efficient and effective service which prevents homelessness.

Due to the nature of the role flexible working will be required, including some weekend and evening work.

You will have a good level of education and will hold a leadership qualification or be willing to achieve this within 18 - 24 months.

You will have proven experience in leading, managing and motivating people and experience working in partnership with other organisations. You will have a flare for identifying and solving problems and a real desire to assimilate and try new ideas.

You will have experience in:

  • leading, managing and motivating people
  • engaging people from different educational, cultural and economic backgrounds
  • driving innovative approaches to improve service delivery.

Key skills and attributes:

  • Confident, outgoing and personable.
  • Articulate, confident communicator, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information quickly.
  • Ability to plan and orchestrate events and projects.

We are a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer and a Silver Standard Investors in People accredited organisation. We aim to provide a supportive working environment alongside a non-judgemental and open culture, that promotes workplace wellbeing.

As part of our benefits package you can enjoy:

  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • team pool vehicle
  • reward and recognition scheme
  • continued training and development
  • wellbeing commitment.
