East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives, delivering vital services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.

We are looking for a Communities Officer for the Lowestoft and Northern Parishes Community Partnership area to join the team. For this role you will need excellent communication skills and be able to quickly build positive and effective working relationships with a wide range of partners.

You will lead activity across three main areas – health and wellbeing, community enabling, and community safety & anti-social behaviour – helping local organisations and community groups to achieve their ambitions.

The Lowestoft and Northern Parishes Community Partnership area receives the highest number of Anti-Social Behaviour complaints in the district. We would therefore welcome applicants who have significant experience of ASB case management and working with partners and other departments to resolve complaints. You will have a thorough working knowledge of the legislation and experience of serving notices and using appropriate tools and powers to mitigate risk and improve community safety in the local area.
