Reporting to the Finance Business Partner-Housing, we are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Support Accountant with a sound financial background to join our team and deliver high quality financial services.  You will have a proven track record in operational delivery of accounting services gained within a similar operational role either within the private or public sector.  

Strong analytical skills, a logical approach to problem solving and an eye for detail are essential requirements for this role.  Working with a range of contacts is a key aspect of the role, so good communication, time management and excellent relationship management skills are essential to this role. You will be working with a team of finance professionals with a strong team ethic and drive to continuously improve the services it delivers.  The ideal candidate will be a good team player with the drive to actively contribute to improving service delivery.

Previous experience working within a Housing team is not required as support/mentoring will be provided. The Council may request the attendance of conferences and/or webinars to help build an understanding of public sector social housing requirements for the role.
