18 month training contract

1 x post based in Lowestoft & 1 x post based in Melton near Woodbridge.

Apprenticeship start date: 16th September 2019.

A unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our Customer Services team. This apprenticeship opportunity could be your ideal first step on the career ladder in Customer Services field.

The role consists of working as part of a close knit, highly skilled dynamic team. Your job will be to deliver an outstanding customer experience by providing advice and resolving any and all customer queries. Contact from our customers is made via various different channels, telephone, face to face and email to name a few. The contact from Customers to the Customer Services team is both varied and diverse and you will liaise with all services and departments within the council.

You will need to have  excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude for ICT and a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grades 4 -9/Grade C and above, or (or equivalent) including English and Maths. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided, however a passion to be a positive and professional ambassador for the council and a desire to provide the best experience for our customers is a must.

We are excited to announce we will be holding recruitment open evenings this year to give you the opportunity to meet the team managers, and ask any questions you have about the application process or the apprenticeship qualification. The open evenings will be taking place on the following dates:

  • 13th May 2019, 5pm – 6.30pm at the Riverside Offices (4 Canning Road, Lowestoft, NR33 0EQ)
  • 14th May 2019, 5pm – 6.30pm at the East Suffolk House offices (Riduna Park, Station Road, Melton, Woodbridge IP12 1RT).
