Suffolk County Council successfully won the contract to deliver the 0 - 19 Healthy Child Service for the whole of Suffolk, working across School Nursing, Health and Children's Centres and Family Nurse Partnership and the new Health Business Centre teams.

We are looking to recruit a School Nurse Manager (Specialist Community Public Health Nurse) to manage our School Nursing team in South and West Ipswich.

As a manager within the School Nursing Service, you will be at the forefront of managing change and driving performance and continuous improvement whilst leading high-quality services and effective ways of working. You will lead the work of the School Nursing teams in their planning and reviewing of service delivery to ensure its high-quality to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and their families.

This is an extremely exciting time for our School Nursing teams in Suffolk as we have invested heavily in our School Nursing provision with additional frontline staffing capacity to enable the full delivery of the Healthy Child Programme. This additional resource will enable early identification of needs for those within and outside of a school setting and opportunities to work with children, young people and families to improve public health outcomes.
