We are seeking to appoint a Family Support Practitioner to join the County Inclusion Support Service (CISS), supporting the team covering the Ipswich area.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for CISS, a Suffolk County Council outreach service that works in partnership with mainstream schools to support children and young people who have a diagnosis of Autism, traits of Autism, social, emotional and mental health difficulties and all associated behaviours. The role is specifically designed to support families and children and young people on CISS case load in the home.
You will have:
- a commitment to inclusion
- an awareness of ASD and social, emotional and mental health issues
- a commitment to listening to children and families, and to working collaboratively with them to improve outcomes through a solution-focused approach.
You will be required to travel between schools, family homes and other venues across Suffolk, therefore you will need access to personal transport and a valid driving licence.
