'Be the best you can be'

One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way - Frank Smith.

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of French and / or Spanish at KS3.

You will:

  • be passionate about teaching languages
  • committed to motivating students to reach their full potential
  • contribute to our whole school development and the raising of standards.

This post has arisen due to the consistently high percentage of students studying languages at KS4 and the changes to our curriculum at KS3. You will be joining a successful, hard-working and supportive faculty, working with the rest of the team in improving student outcomes.

You will ideally be looking to contribute to the extra-curricular programme and able to demonstrate an innovative and interactive style of teaching.

This post would be suitable for an NQT or a colleague seeking to broaden their experience.

Claydon High School, in liaison with local providers, provide an excellent support programme for newly appointed staff.

NQTs will be paid for working in July if they are available to come into school at the end of the summer term.

Claydon High School is a popular, mixed, comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich, easily accessed from the A12 and A14. We pride ourselves on our positive hardworking ethos and collegiate atmosphere.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Further details and an application form can be downloaded from our website: www.claydonhigh.com or from: www.sslt.org.uk

Interview date: w/c 7 May 2019.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks or police vetting will be required for relevant posts.
