An excellent opportunity to join the council and develop your career in Quantity Surveying. The council will be offering to fund training to ultimately achieve full chartered status. The Maintenance and Contracts team are responsible for everything in connection with the asset and contract management of the council's housing stock; from initial design to completing works on site on a right first time basis using our own directly employed trade teams and external contractors.
You will work as part of the Quantity Surveying team responsible for activities relating to improvements, repairs and maintenance of the council's housing stock and in particular the contract cost management related work.
You should have some qualitative experience of quantity surveying or financial management and preferably you will be studying towards or already have a quantity surveying degree or similar professional building or financial related qualification.
This is a career grade post where the start on the pay scale will be dependent on your current qualifications and experience. The council will be offering, as part of appointment, to fund completion of a quantity surveying degree and ultimately full chartered professional membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Chartered Institute of Building and will allow paid day release to achieve this.
