We want lunchtimes at our school to provide positive, purposeful and playful experiences for all our pupils. If you think you have what it takes to make a difference and are interested, we require a Midday Supervisor immediately for a minimum of 5 lunchtimes per week.

In this post you will be responsible for the safe supervision of pupils during the lunch break.

You should be able to model correct dining etiquette when supervising children having their lunch. You will also need the ability to play and be playful, thinking creatively to engage with the pupils.

The role usually requires a focus in one of the dining areas or the playground but you may also need to work in other areas of the school as required.

You will have experience of working with or supervising children.

You must be able to:

  • follow recognised procedures and policies
  • use judgement and common sense to resolve straightforward problems
  • identify more complex problems and refer to appropriate member of staff
  • be flexible.

Knowledge of safeguarding policies and first aid procedures is desirable although on the job training will be given.
