Fixed term for one year with possibility of extending contract.

Post 1: 25 hpw, plus 5 hours MDSA (lunchtime) cover.
Post 2: 25 hpw, plus 5 hours MDSA (lunchtime) cover.
Post 3: 15 hpw (5 mornings), plus 5 hours MDSA (lunchtime) cover.

Your role is to primarily facilitate access to learning for pupils. This may include supporting an individual or a group, under the guidance of the class teacher.

You will assist in the effective running of the classroom, including in the preparation and management of resources and provide general assistance to the class teacher in supporting learning. You will also be required to supervise children during the lunch period either in the playground or classroom during wet play.

We welcome applications from candidates for the TA role regardless of whether they are interested in the possibility of Bank HLTA hours.

Bank HLTA opportunities are available for interested candidates. Your role is to support and work in partnership with our qualified teachers to offer short term classroom cover as required. This may be planned in advance or short-notice cover.

You will be a good role model for our pupils and have direct experience of working with children with additional learning needs and/or willingness to undertake specialist training. You will be expected to show a strong commitment towards developing inclusive learning opportunities for the children and the flexibility to work across the Key Stages.

You will be prepared to work collaboratively with teaching staff to plan and deliver whole class teaching.

You will have GCSE (or equivalent) English and Mathematics, grade C or above.

It would be desirable for you to have A-Level qualifications (or equivalent) as well as Further Education qualifications in a relevant field, however these are not essential.
