The Special Educational Needs and Academies Trust (SENDAT) is a Multi Academy Trust focusing on specialist provision and special schools. Its core aim is to provide for the continuum of special needs across the Eastern region.
All SENDAT schools and alternate provisions have Trauma Informed practices embedded across the curriculum and SENDAT staff colleagues are given training and support to develop and use these skills in their day-to-day working.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join Peile, a joint project between SENDAT, the Active Learning Trust and Suffolk County Council to support KS3-4 classes at Chantry Academy.
You will work as part of a close-knit SENDAT team, and in conjunction with staff colleagues in the host schools, to provide a safe and secure educational and caring environment for students with moderate learning difficulties.
You will help ensure that they receive specialist teaching and support tailored which meets their individual needs and facilitates their academic progress and personal development both in the Peile class and in their lessons in the host school.
As a SENDAT employee, you will play a key role in the start-up and development of these ambitious new provisions, and be instrumental in providing a real, positive impact on the educational and life outcomes for students with SEND.

You will also have access to:
- a wide range of CPD opportunities
- a range of employee benefits including pension, Health Care benefits and Cycle2Work scheme
- a supportive working environment.
