We are looking to appoint two experienced Teaching Assistants to work in our provisions for pupils with more challenging behaviours.
We have an approach based upon SCERTS that uses a therapeutic approach to teaching children to self-regulate themselves. Pupils can display significant levels of challenging behaviour and we use a very intensive support programme to develop alternative communication strategies to reduce those behaviours that restrict their social interaction.
As part of a team you will need:
- the ability to build excellent working relationships with SEND pupils with a focus on nurture.
- to be enthusiastic, creative as well as resilient with a significant sense of fun.
- to make an impact on the learning of our students
- an open mind to grow and develop with the school
