  • £18,933 – £21,748 pro rata (£13,681 - £15,716 pa) dependent on external funding*

  • 31.5 hpw, 39 weeks per year.

Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 3.15pm, plus 1 hour for mandatory staff training each week (Monday 3.15pm – 4.15pm) and half hour each week for class team meeting (Thursday 3.15pm – 3.45pm).

We are looking to appoint three Teaching Assistants to work in our provisions for pupils with more challenging behaviours.

We have an approach based upon SCERTS that uses a therapeutic approach to teaching children to self-regulate themselves. Pupils can display significant levels of challenging behaviour and we use a very intensive support programme to develop alternative communication strategies to reduce those behaviours that restrict their social interaction. As part of a team, you will need to be enthusiastic, creative as well as resilient with a significant sense of fun.  Play is an important part of the therapeutic approach.
