Home First, Adult and Community Services.
Working in either East, Central and South Suffolk, North Suffolk (Lowestoft) or West Suffolk area.

Come join our friendly in-house reablement service, Home First; working with older people and adults with physical and learning disabilities within the philosophy of personalisation to ensure that customers maintain and reach their independence potential.

Your role will involve working very closely with local communities and partner agencies, and includes signposting, reablement and developing integrated ways of working with health colleagues.

You can contribute the the development of our OT service by supporting developments in:

  • OT Apprenticeships
  • internal rotation between various teams within the council
  • rotation with health
  • simple assessment clinics and different ways of seeing customers
  • our work with other providers to share best ways of working.

  • a Newly Qualified Occupational Therapy Programme joint with Social Workers and the opportunity to link with Newly Qualified staff in Health
  • a flexible working policy (predominately Monday - Friday office hours)
  • generous annual leave entitlement.

A relevant Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC registration is essential. 

You will be required to travel frequently in rural areas, so you must hold a full valid driving licence and have access to personal transport.

Grade 5: Newly Qualified SW at £26,999 or Experienced SW at £28,785 - £31,371.
Grade 6: Senior SW at £32,029 - £34,585.
