An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Waveney Child In Need Team or the Waveney Child In Care Team as a key Consultant Social Worker.

You will:

  • work alongside the Practice Manager in advising, supporting and directly supervising a team of Social Workers
  • develop good quality of practice, motivate team and improve performance
  • confidently make management decisions regarding case work
  • be a lead in terms of Signs of Safety practice
  • ensure children, young people and their families are actively involved in planning to achieve the best outcomes
  • communicate effectively with a range of agencies and help shape future services.

All applicants must be qualified to the level of Experienced Social Worker and have experience of working within a Child In Need/Child In Care team.

* whilst working as a Social Worker within Children and Young Peoples Services you will receive a retention payment of up to £3500 plus an extra 3 days annual leave.
