We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join our innovative and friendly interdisciplinary Community Neurorehabilitation Service.
We are looking for an experienced, reflective and enthusiastic person to join us in continuing to develop and improve the service we offer to adults following acquired brain injury, and to their families / carers.
Livability Icanho is a non-residential, highly specialist, community based acquired brain injury service with its base in Stowmarket Suffolk (within 45 minutes' drive of Cambridge or Colchester and 20 minutes away from Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds). We have a small satellite service in Bungay. The service is run by the national charity Livability.
Our client base is 100% acquired brain injury, with the majority of clients having suffered a stroke or TBI. Our clinical work is undertaken as an interdisciplinary team and Social Work is an integral part of the team.
You will be responsible for the provision of a specialist social work service to our clients and carers/families.
You will ideally have experience of working in an interdisciplinary team, of working in acquired brain injury and/or general neuro-rehabilitation settings, and of teaching and presenting.
We welcome informal enquiries / discussion.
For application or further details, please contact Dr Rosemary Gravell, Service Manager or Julie O'Brien, Clinical Lead on (01449) 774161.
