Maidstone has a successful Federation with Causton Junior School. We share many things including a determination to improve the outcomes for children and our staff going the 'extra mile' to ensure that children 'Enjoy, Achieve and Thrive'. Maidstone Infant School has a team of staff that are dedicated to the welfare of all our young people.
As a school we have adopted 'The Thrive Approach' as a way of supporting our young people.
We are now looking to appoint a teacher for our new ASD class, a local authority provision based on site at Maidstone, to continue to strengthen the team at Maidstone and our partnership with Causton Junior School. This is an extension to the current ASD class (Goldcrests) at Causton Junior school.
The class focuses on educating children with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) and a diagnosis of ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder).
This will be a mixed class of children in Reception - Year 2 and will be staffed by 3 staff including the lead teacher.
There will be opportunities to work alongside the ASD class at Causton in activities such as forest schools.
