The Special Educational Needs and Academies Trust (SENDAT) is a Multi Academy Trust focusing on specialist provision and special schools. Its core aim is to provide for the continuum of special needs across the Eastern region. All SENDAT schools and alternate provisions have Trauma Informed practices embedded across the curriculum and SENDAT staff colleagues are given training and support to develop and use these skills in their day-to-day working.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a KS3/4 Teacher to join Mulberry, a joint project between SENDAT and John Milton Academy Trust for two new pieces of provision:
- KS2 group - linked to Mendlesham Primary School
- KS3-4 group - linked to Stowupland High School
As part of a dedicated and supportive SENDAT team, you will work in close conjunction with teaching staff colleagues in the host school to provide inspirational and outstanding teaching for students with moderate learning difficulties, in an environment where they feel safe and ready to learn. Your main focus will be teaching core subjects in the Mulberry Class but you may be required to cover subjects across the KS3-4 curriculum. You will also support and work with staff colleagues so that students accessing Mulberry can successfully integrate into their classes in the host school.
As a SENDAT employee, you will play a key role in the start-up and development of these ambitious new provisions, and be instrumental in providing a real, positive impact on the educational and life outcomes for students with SEND.
Further information about the provision is available at: https://sendat.academy/mulberry/
You will also have access to:
- a wide range of CPD opportunities
- a range of employee benefits including pension, Health Care benefits and Cycle2Work scheme
- a supportive working environment
