This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new special school, which will be part of the Unity Schools Partnership multi-academy trust opening in September 2020.

At the beginning of the school journey, we are looking for inspirational Class Teachers with a passion for SEN and a creative, innovative approach to delivering the curriculum, to join us and make an impact on the learning of our students. We are looking for candidates with the motivation and determination to ensure that students make progress and also to improve and boost their experience.

The ideal candidates would be specialists in Secondary Mathematics, DT and ICT.

Sir Bobby Robson School will educate young people between the ages of 8-16 who have a wide range of communication, physical, and profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many of the pupils are on the Autistic Spectrum. The school serves a catchment area that covers Ipswich and surrounding areas of Suffolk. The school will also be adding to our network of special schools, alongside The Bridge School, Ipswich and Churchill Special School, Haverhill. In addition to this, we have been approved to open a new special school in Romford.

You will be supported in your role by experienced special education leaders who will be available to offer advice and guidance as the school moves forward under their leadership. Significant training and development are available through opportunities for professional development, research, teacher training and collaboration between schools and across phases.
