Full or part time / job share considered.

  • Are you an agent of change
  • Do you have a growth mind-set; believing anything is possible if you put your mind to it
  • Do you want to help young people with social, emotional and mental health challenges re-engage with learning to enhance their life choices
  • Can you help our pupils believe in themselves, engage with their learning, and achieve highly?

If the answer is yes, we want you to work with us to help transform the lives of our pupils and their families.

At The Albany we believe everyone matters, creating a family of young people and staff who grow and learn together. Pupils are grouped in cross phase classes taught in a primary methodology, enabling much stronger adult-pupil and pupil-pupil relationships to be fostered.

Our primary aim is to build sustainable change within our children so that they become resilient, emotionally articulate young people able to positively engage in the next steps of their education.

We are seeking teachers with the passion and ability to engage children and young people who communicate their needs through challenging behaviour, enabling accelerated progress. We are expanding our offer and as such, an ability to lead creative, sporting or practical subjects would be beneficial, but not essential.

Whilst this opportunity suits both primary and secondary trained teachers, we are particularly keen to attract primary teachers seeking to expand their knowledge and experience prior to leadership. It is also suitable for NQTs looking to gain experience in specialist education.

You are encouraged to visit or contact the school to discuss the post further.

For further information and to apply, please download an application pack from the related information section.

Interview date: 11 February 2020.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks or police vetting will be required for relevant posts.
