Riverwalk School is an expanding and developing provision within the Believe, Engage, Succeed Trust. We have developed the curriculum at Riverwalk to ensure we meet the complex needs of our young people and have grown to 185 pupils.

You would be coming in at a really exciting time to join the middle leadership team of the school, with specific responsibility for curriculum development.

You will have a teaching responsibility within the school of 0.5 (with 0.5 for your PPA and Leadership role).

We are looking for teachers who:

  • have experience in working in special education particularly with severe and profound learning difficulties
  • understand the impacts of the Rochford Review, and Engagement Profile
  • have expertise in areas such as SCERTS, Makaton, PECs
  • desire to lead a staff team forward and support staff very early in their career.

We acknowledge that there are uncertainties regarding school closures during the current Coronavirus outbreak.

Whilst we may not be able to host school tours for interested applicants before the closing date, please do contact Niki Griss, Headteacher's PA at: pa@riverwalk.suffolk.sch.uk to arrange to speak to a member of the Senior Leadership Team to discuss the post further.

Please visit our website: www.riverwalk.suffolk.org.uk for more information and follow the links for access to our, application form, job description and privacy notice concerning job applicants.
